This is the biography of Donovan Bernard, a Zimbabwean professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Chicken Inn Football Club in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League and the Zimbabwe national team.

Donovan Bernard was born on July 12, 1995.
Education
He attended Lord Malvern High School.
Club Career
Donovan Bernard began his football career with Aces Academy, where he was groomed from 2003 to 2014. He made his Premier Soccer League debut on October 2, 2013, at the age of 17, playing for the now-defunct Motor Action Football Club against Chicken Inn Football Club. After a stint with Motor Action, Bernard went on to play for How Mine, Dynamos, and his current club, Chicken Inn Football Club.
International Career
Donovan Bernard made his international debut for the Zimbabwe national team in 2014 and was named in the squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. In August 2024, he was included in the first provisional squad selected by new coach Michael Nees for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya and Cameroon in Uganda.

Awards and Achievements
In the 2021/22 season, Donovan Bernard was awarded Chicken Inn’s Player of the Season. He kept 18 clean sheets and conceded only 21 goals in 31 games, finishing the season as the goalkeeper with the second-highest number of clean sheets in the league, just one behind Ngezi Platinum Star’s Nelson Chadya.
