This is the biography of Marvin Chirume a former Zimbabwean rugby international player and Under-20 assistant coach. He currently serves as the head coach of the Ghana national rugby team.
Playing Career
Marvin Chirume is a former Zimbabwean rugby player who primarily played at fullback. He represented Prince Edward School Tigers in 1996 and went on to play for Old Hararians Rugby Club from 1997 to 1998. Chirume later represented the Zimbabwe Rugby Sables, the national team, from 2003 to 2004.

Coaching Career
In October 2024, Chirume was appointed as the head coach of the Ghana national rugby team, known as the Ghanaian Eagles. He succeeded fellow Zimbabwean Lovemore “Dallas” Kuzorera in this role. His appointment was made official on October 8, 2024, following a successful selection process by the Ghana Rugby Board.
Prior to taking on the role in Ghana, Chirume was part of the coaching staff for the Zimbabwe Under-20 rugby team, which won consecutive Rugby Africa U-20 Barthes Cup titles in 2022 and 2023. He served as an assistant coach to Shaun De Souza during this period.
In addition to his national team coaching duties, Chirume has coached Old Hararians Rugby Football Club, where he was appointed head coach in 2017. He also worked as the sports director at Gateway High School, further contributing to rugby development in Zimbabwe.
