Career
With over 20 years of experience in the banking sector, Andy Hodges has primarily worked in the Treasury and International Banking areas. He is also an entrepreneur and operates Hodges Consulting Sdn Bhd, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he assists businesses in fulfilling their human capital requirements.
Additionally, Hodges serves as an Anchor, Producer, and Scriptwriter for Zimpapers TV Network (ZTN) in Harare, Zimbabwe. He holds the position of Director – Non-Executive Board Member at Agribank and was appointed by the Minister of Agriculture, with the approval of the President of Zimbabwe. Hodges has also been appointed as the Chair of the Board Land Bank Committee.
In August 2023, Andy Hodges was appointed as the Group Company Secretary and Company Secretary of Rio Tinto plc, replacing Steve Allen. Steve Allen stepped down from his role as Group Company Secretary and Company Secretary of Rio Tinto plc, as well as Joint Company Secretary of Rio Tinto Limited, to assume the position of Deputy Chief Legal Officer at Rio Tinto.
In 2017, while based in Malaysia, Andy Hodges became the Chairman of Caps United. Under his leadership, Caps United achieved the league championship in 2004.

Controversies
In 2009, a businesswoman obtained a peace order against Andy Hodges, accusing him of tormenting and threatening her with unspecified action.
Hodges was also alleged to have threatened Sherrie Rea, his girlfriend of six years, with unspecified action after she decided to end their relationship. Sherrie Rea sought a peace order against Hodges through her lawyer, Mr. Chris Venturas of Byron Venturas and Partners, following an incident where Hodges broke into her premises in Avondale, demanding to see her.
