Football Career

Dynamos

Moyo joined Dynamos FC’s junior ranks at the age of 11, developing under well-known Zimbabwean football figures such as Tonderai Ndiraya, Elvis Chiweshe, and Biggie Zuze.

As a right-back, he made his first senior team appearance at 19 when Callisto Pasuwa, the then Dynamos coach, selected him ahead of experienced players like Thomas Magorimbo and Oscar Machapa. His performances quickly earned him recognition among Dynamos supporters.

Move to South Africa

In 2016, Moyo left Zimbabwe to join Maritzburg United in South Africa after a stint with Harare City FC. However, he struggled to maintain the form that had made him one of Zimbabwe’s top defenders. He later joined National First Division side Real Kings before returning to Zimbabwe in 2021, when FC Platinum signed him.

Success with FC Platinum

Moyo played a key role in FC Platinum’s 2022 campaign, helping them secure their fourth consecutive league title. He featured in 22 matches, with 16 starts, six substitute appearances, and one goal. FC Platinum won 13 of the matches he played in.

Despite his contributions, his contract expired ahead of the 2023 season, and he was among five players released by the club.

Simba Bhora and Captaincy

Moyo later joined Simba Bhora FC, where he continued to make an impact.

In 2024, he was one of five Simba Bhora players named on the Soccer Stars of the Year calendar.

He was part of the team that won the club’s first-ever Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title in their second season in the top-flight league, securing the championship with two games to spare.

In 2025, he was appointed Simba Bhora captain, succeeding Walter Musona, who left the club along with coach Tonderai Ndiraya and several teammates.

His first match as captain ended in a Castle Challenge Cup defeat to Dynamos on February 22, 2025. The match ended 1-1 in regulation time, with Simba Bhora losing 3-5 in a penalty shootout.
