This is the biography of Divine Lunga, a Zimbabwean professional footballer who plays as a defender. He is based in South Africa, where he plays for Mamelodi Sundowns. Lunga has also represented the Zimbabwe national team and was part of the squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt. He gained recognition for his defensive performance against Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah during the tournament.

Club Career
Lunga started playing football at the age of 9, joining Ajax Hotspurs in Mpopoma. In 2012, he moved to Chicken Inn Football Club, where he played for the under-18 and B teams.
In 2015, Lunga was promoted to the Chicken Inn senior team, where he contributed to the club’s Premier Soccer League title win that year. He also helped the team secure the Independence Trophy in 2016.

In 2019, he was part of Zimbabwe’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), featuring in matches against Egypt and Uganda.
Car Accident
On February 27, 2021, Lunga was involved in a car accident in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Reports indicated that he escaped unharmed, though his vehicle was severely damaged.
Warriors Call-Up Controversy
In 2021, Lunga was reportedly among the players who declined a national team call-up for the AFCON qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia. Then, Warriors coach Zdravko Logarušić stated that he would no longer consider players who had turned down national duty. As a result, Onesmor Bhasera was called up as a last-minute replacement.
