This is the biography of Gareth Tanyanyiwa Madhake a Zimbabwean professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for Scottland Football Club. He joined the team in December 2024 after a stint with Ngezi Platinum F.C. Madhake previously played for Black Rhinos Football Club during the 2021–2022 seasons, following his move from Harare City Football Club.

Gareth Madhake was born on November 28, 1997, at Edith Clinic in Mbare, Harare, Zimbabwe.
Education
Madhake completed his secondary education at Marlborough High School.
Career
Early Beginnings
Madhake began his football journey with Black Rhinos Juniors, where he played from 2009 to 2013. Growing up in a humble environment, he developed his passion for the sport by playing with makeshift plastic balls and watching international tournaments, such as the FIFA World Cup. Inspired by Dani Alves, the Brazilian right-back for FC Barcelona, Madhake aspired to pursue a career as a defender.
In 2014, he joined Maningi Academy to further develop his skills.
Rise to Prominence
From 2015 to 2017, Madhake played for Harare City Cubs, where his performances earned him promotion to Harare City Football Club’s senior team in 2018. He remained with the club until the end of the 2020 season, gaining valuable experience and recognition.
In 2021, Madhake joined Black Rhinos Football Club, where he transitioned from a right-back to a center-back under coach Herbert “Jompano” Maruwa. During his tenure, he emerged as one of the league’s top defenders, earning accolades such as the Players’ Player of the Year award in 2022.
Move to Ngezi Platinum F.C.
On January 20, 2023, Madhake signed a two-year contract with Ngezi Platinum F.C., a move announced on the club’s official Twitter page. He played a pivotal role in the team’s success, helping them win the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League title in 2023.
Current Club
In December 2024, Madhake transferred to Scottland Football Club, accompanied by Ngezi Platinum teammates Nelson Chadya and Marvelous Mukumba.
