Club Career

Murwira began his football career in the junior teams of Rockets Juniors and Kambuzuma United Juniors before joining the CAPS United junior team. He rose to prominence while playing for Shabanie Mine Football Club and had a brief spell with Monomotapa Football Club during the 2013 season before the club was relegated. Murwira was known for scoring impressive goals during his time with Shabanie Mine.

In early 2023, Murwira signed with CAPS United after leaving Dynamos, where he had a challenging second stint. His departure from Dynamos was influenced by coach Tonderai Ndiraya, who excluded him from the squad following match-fixing allegations. When Herbert Maruwa replaced Ndiraya in December 2022, he preferred to focus on younger players, prompting Murwira, then 29 years old, to move to CAPS United.

Murwira had the option to stay at Dynamos after a year on loan from FC Platinum but chose to sign with CAPS United instead. Although he started his Premiership career as a right-back with Monomotapa, he made a name for himself in that position, which led to multiple national team call-ups and recognition on the Soccer Stars calendar. In the 2024 season, CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe shifted Murwira to a deeper defensive role, where he often partnered with Hastings Chapusha. Godknows Murwira was CAPS United captain for the 2024 season.
