During a raid at his residence, ZACC agents seized four luxury vehicles suspected to be acquired through illicit means.
In September 2024, Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume suspended Chisango over allegations of serious misconduct. These included the irregular awarding of a street lighting contract to a blacklisted company and the failure to implement an effective Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Chisango was also accused of unauthorised promotions within the city council and extending his contract without proper authorisation.
