Background
Born in Rusape, Mukoma Panga began his journey in the music industry as a devoted fan and later transitioned into a music promoter. Apart from his roles as a lawyer and musician, he is also actively involved in farming and business ventures.
Career
After years of songwriting, Mukoma Panga ventured into the studio to record his own music. His debut album, “Mbuya Yehwiza,” released in 2019, garnered significant success, earning him two nominations at the Zimbabwe Music Awards and NAMA awards ceremonies. Notably, he secured a spot in the top three of the Radio Zimbabwe Cola Top 50, a remarkable achievement for a newcomer.
Mukoma Panga’s music video, “Chibhakera,” addressing the issue of domestic violence, featured Freddy ‘Kapfupi’ Manjalima and his wife Mai Nga, gaining attention on various social media platforms.
Mukoma Panga collaborated with renowned musicians such as Alick Macheso, the late Simon Chimbetu, the late Tongai Moyo, the late Cephas Mashakada, Sulumani Chimbetu, the late Oliver Mtukudzi, and the late Beatar Mangethe. His role as a music promoter was instrumental in facilitating the collaboration between Mangethe and Macheso.

Mukoma Panga’s track “Sadza Nemhiripiri” gained recognition on various radio and television platforms, securing a spot on the year-end top charts. Released in May 2022, the song featured Chipoko ChaSauro and Dispatch, with visuals following a month later.
“Sadza Nemhiripiri” achieved notable rankings on multiple charts, including the Glow Petroleum-sponsored Radio Zimbabwe Top 50 (7th), National FM Top 50 (2nd), Nyami Nyami FM Top 50 (6th), and Diamond FM Top 50 (35th). The song’s visuals claimed the 22nd spot on the Econet-sponsored Ztv Top 50 videos.
In 2022, listeners voted “Sadza Nemhiripiri” as the 3rd best song of the year on National FM’s Top 50.
