This is the biography of Prince Mpumelelo Dube a Zimbabwean professional footballer who plays as a forward for Young Africans Sports Club in the Tanzanian Premier League and the Zimbabwe national team.
Background
Prince Dube’s mother, Princisca Moyo stays in the high-density suburb of Emganwini in Bulawayo.
Age
Prince Dube was born on February 17, 1997.
Education
Dube attended Somvubu Secondary School from 2011 to 2014.

Career
Club
Dube began his football career with Highlanders’ developmental team, Bosso90, helping them achieve promotion to the Southern Region Division One in 2015. He was promoted to the senior team in 2016 and scored five goals in his first season in the top flight. In the same year, he was named the Castle Lager Rookie of the Year.
In 2019, Dube contributed to Highlanders’ victory in the Chibuku Super Cup after the arrival of coach Hendrik Pieter de Jongh.
On August 17, 2020, Dube moved to the Tanzanian club Azam FC, signing a three-year contract after several years of playing in Zimbabwe. In July 2024, he joined Young Africans Sports Club, another top-tier Tanzanian team, on a two-year contract valid until June 2026.
Dube left Azam FC in early 2024 following contractual disputes that escalated to the Tanzania Football Federation, as Azam demanded R5 million for his release. Despite his successful tenure with Azam, he struggled with injuries in his last two seasons with the club. Dube is noted for being Azam FC’s second-highest goal scorer in a single season, with 18 goals in 2021, just one goal shy of John Bocco’s record of 19 goals set in 2012.
International
Dube made his senior international debut for Zimbabwe on March 26, 2017, in a 0-0 friendly draw against Zambia.
Salary
While at Azam FC, Dube earned a monthly salary of US$8,000 after tax, with a winning bonus of US$500. His starting salary was approximately US$2,500.
