This is the biography of Ronald Bruce Moyo, a football administrator from Zimbabwe, known for his tenure in various leadership roles at Highlanders Football Club.
Early Life
Ronald Moyo grew up in koSigola, just on the outskirts of Bulawayo. He was born in Lupane when his mother had visited her sister.
Age
Ronald Moyo was born on 16 May 1991.
Education
Moyo attended Sigola Primary School and for his high school education, he went to Sihlengeni Secondary School where his mother also learnt. His grandfather moved him to Induna Barracks where he did his A-levels. He studied Sociology, History and Literature, and came out as one of the best students with twelve points. After A-level Moyo became a temporary teacher at Makhokhomba in Nyamandlovu.
Ronald Moyo studied for a degree in Media and Society Studies at Midlands State University (MSU) and in his second year, he had already contributed and written some articles for some local newspapers.
Career
Highlanders
In March 2022, Ronald Moyo was officially appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Highlanders Football Club, with his term beginning on April 1, 2022. Before this role, Moyo served as the club’s spokesperson starting in 2018 and later became the acting CEO following Nhlanhla Dube’s departure in late 2021 after Dube’s term expired.
Club secretary Morgen Dube described Moyo’s selection as the outcome of a “rigorous process.” Moyo was chosen as the best candidate from a pool of nine interviewees, which included notable figures such as:

- Nkululeko Ndlovu

As CEO, Moyo was tasked with transforming Highlanders Football Club into a commercially successful organization.
In March 2024, Moyo’s tenure at Highlanders Football Club came to an end as his contract expired on March 31. The club confirmed that Moyo chose not to renew his contract.
Ronald Moyo, a former journalist with Southern Eye arrived at Highlanders Football Club from now-defunct Bantu Rovers where he also worked as the club’s media officer.

After leaving Highlanders, Moyo joined Fairtalk Communication, the parent company of Skyz Metro FM, Breeze FM and Keona TV as the General Manager.
