Tilder Moyo-Karizamimba was born in 1966.

Education

Tilder attended Induba Primary School in Pelandaba for her primary education. She later enrolled at Founders High School for her secondary education.

Having nurtured a dream of becoming a journalist, she pursued her passion by attending a journalism school before joining the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) in 1986.

Background

Tilder Moyo-Karizamimba joined the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) at the age of 20, embarking on her journey as a rookie in the industry.

She began her career as a radio presenter at Radio Zimbabwe, which was then known as Radio 2. Over the years, she expanded her roles within ZBC, working in the archives and receiving training as a technical operator.

Tilder also hosted musical programs on Ztv, showcasing her versatility as a broadcaster. After an illustrious 27-year tenure with ZBC, she transitioned to StarFM.

Controversies

Throughout her career, Tilder Moyo-Karizamimba has fearlessly tackled controversial and sensitive subjects on her radio programs.

She gained recognition for her program “Zvinoitika Muhupenyu,” which she started on Radio 2 and aired every Sunday morning. The show delved into taboo topics such as satanism, child prostitution, rape, and witchcraft.

Tilder’s motivation to address these issues stemmed from her personal beliefs and upbringing. Having grown up in a church that did not believe in witchcraft, she aimed to challenge prevailing societal notions.

Following her move to StarFM, Tilder hosted “The Tilder Show” in the 9-12 AM slot. Additionally, she introduced a segment focusing on marriage and bedroom issues, which further enhanced her popularity.
