This is the biography of Musa Ncube a Zanu-PF politician and the Deputy Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities having assumed the role in April 2024.

Background

Musa Ncube was born in Mhlabangubo (Mambanjeni), Tsholotsho Ward 13. Her great-grandfather, Ntuta, was a chief who resisted the arrival of settlers in Zimbabwe. He fought against the takeover of his ancestral land but unfortunately, was unsuccessful and displaced from the area. Ncube draws inspiration from her uncle, Jini Enock Ntuta, a nationalist, peacemaker, and entrepreneur who fought against colonisation from the ZAPU and ZIPRA fronts.

Age

Musa Ncube was born on 6 January 1971

Political Career

Ncube has been actively involved in politics and has held various positions within the Zanu PF party. In February 2020, she was part of a delegation from the ZANU PF Women’s League that attended the Pan African Women’s Organisation PAWO Congress in Namibia.

In January 2022, Ncube won the Zanu-PF primary elections and became the party’s candidate for the Tsholotsho South Constituency by-elections. In the by-elections held in March 2022, she emerged as the winner, representing Zanu PF.

Musa Ncube has also been instrumental in the establishment and leadership of Tilba (Tsholotsho International Business Association), an organization that aims to support and empower small businesses through various platforms.

On April 24, 2024, President Emmerson Mnangagwa appointed Musa Ncube as the Deputy Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities.
