Early Life and Education
Jaqueline Sande completed her secondary education at Founders High School in Bulawayo. She developed an early passion for law and pursued her legal studies at the University of Zimbabwe, where she excelled academically. She graduated in 2003 with a degree in Law. Jaqueline’s determination and dedication set her on a path to make a significant impact in the legal field.
Jaqueline Sande Legal Career
She started her legal firm, Sande & Associate Legal Practitioners, in 2009. She has been the Managing Partner to date. Jaqueline gained prominence as the chief election agent and lawyer for former Cabinet minister Saviour Kasukuwere during the August 2023 presidential elections. However, her client Kasukuwere was barred from contesting in the Presidential election. The Harare High Court ruled that his nomination was unlawful because he had ceased to be a legally registered voter after staying outside the borders of Zimbabwe for more than 18 months.
In November 2023, Sande faced another critical moment when she was summoned by the ZANU PF disciplinary committee. Her representation of Kasukuwere had drawn attention, and this summons put her legal skills to the test.
