Ray Lunga is the son of former Highlanders great Gift Lunga (Snr).

Ray Lunga was born on 27 February 1993.

Club Career
Lunga made his first appearance for Highlanders Football Club in 2017 when the club was under the management of Dutchman Erol Akbay. During his debut match away against Shabanie Mine, Lunga put in an impressive performance, which included providing an assist that was converted by Ralph Matema.
Lunga earned the nickname “Ndori Ndori” due to his physique. After his contract with Highlanders expired on 31 December 2023, the club decided not to renew it.
In February 2024, Ray Lunga joined Zifa Central Division One club Sheasham ahead of the start of the season.

Career as a Football Scout
On 28 February 2024, Lunga was certified as an internationally accredited football scout. He obtained this certification after attaining certificates in Soccer Management and Scouting with Sports Management Worldwide (SMWWW) in the United States of America, as well as a certificate in Talent Identification in Football with the Professional Scouts Association (PFSA) in the UK.
At the time he became an internationally Accredited Football Scout, Ray Lunga was on the books of Gweru-based Zifa Central Division One side Sheasham.
