Ellen Chiweshe has an extensive educational background, including:

Career in the Air Force of Zimbabwe
Chiweshe began her career in the finance department of the Air Force of Zimbabwe, one of the first women to serve in this capacity. On January 3, 2016, she was promoted to the rank of air commodore by President Robert Mugabe, making her the first woman to reach this rank. Prior to this promotion, she held the rank of group captain. Following her promotion, she became the third highest-ranking officer in the Air Force.
The promotion ceremony was conducted by Air Marshal Perrance Shiri, the commander of the air force, who emphasized that her promotion was based on her competence rather than any form of bias.
In addition to her role in the Air Force, Air Commodore Ellen Chiweshe serves as the Director General of Workshops and Seminars at the Zimbabwe National Defence University.
