Background
Blessing Annatoria was born in Zimbabwe and moved to the UK when she was 7 years old. Her father, Cleophas, and her mother, Sarita, made the life-changing journey with her. In the UK, Blessing Annatoria continued her education at Kingswinford School and Dudley College.
Aside from her studies, Blessing Annatoria’s interests also extended to sports. At 15 years old, she showcased her athletic skills by playing basketball for West Bromwich Albion.
The Voice
Annatoria made a significant impact on the British music scene by participating in The Voice UK. Her journey on the show began in 2020 when she auditioned and wowed the judges with her exceptional vocal talent.

Annatoria began her musical journey in the United Kingdom, where she pursued her passion for singing while studying at Dudley College. Despite her initial plans to study biomedical sciences, fate had other plans for her when she auditioned for The Voice UK.
Following her triumph on The Voice UK, Annatoria wasted no time and released her debut album titled “Count My Blessings” on 30th April 2021, through Universal Music. Notably, this achievement made her the youngest-ever winner in The Voice UK’s history to release an album. The first single from the album, “I Smile,” was an interpretation of the Kirk Franklin original.
The production of “Count My Blessings” was a unique experience, as it took place during the lockdown. Annatoria collaborated remotely with the award-winning producer, arranger, and songwriter Rupert Christie, known for his work with artists like Jessie J, U2, Coldplay, Lianne La Havas, and Lou Reed, along with Blackbook Music.
Annatoria’s musical style is deeply influenced by her upbringing and experiences. Growing up, she was exposed to a lot of gospel music, drawing inspiration from powerful musicians such as Tasha Cobbs, Donnie McClurkin, and Kierra Sheard. These artists inspired her to use her vocal gift to spread positivity and the message of hope. Singing hymns in the church also played a significant role in shaping her voice and identity as an artist.
The album “Count My Blessings” is a reflection of Annatoria’s diverse musical influences. It blends the songs she performed on The Voice UK with old hymns she grew up singing and listening to. The gospel-infused album comprises 14 stunning tracks that showcase different facets of her artistry. Annatoria’s goal with this album is to bring together different cultures, spreading joy and happiness through her music.
Particularly close to her heart is the hymn “How Great Thou Art,” which she describes as her “family’s song.” Annatoria gives all the hymns a contemporary twist, introducing them to a new audience and emphasizing their uplifting power.
