This is the biography of Benjamin Ganyiwa a Zimbabwean politician, a member of ZANU-PF, and a former radio presenter.
Background
Benjamin Ganyiwa was born in Gutu, Zimbabwe, under Chief Munyikwa. He is the son of Ledwin Chapwanya Mukanganwi and the late Wilson Tapfumanei Ganyiwa. Ganyiwa grew up in a modest household, with his family relying on subsistence farming for their livelihood.
Wife and Children
Ganyiwa is married to Patricia Nyikadzino, and together they have seven children.

Education
Ganyiwa holds several academic and professional qualifications. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters by the International Institute of Philanthropy. As of October 1, 2023, he is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Project Management and Logistics at the University of Salford, Manchester, in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he holds a diploma in Entrepreneurship, Wealth Creation, and Asset Management.
Career
Politics
Ganyiwa’s involvement in politics was driven by his commitment to fostering development in his community. He joined ZANU-PF at a young age and gradually took on leadership roles, progressing from the cell level to provincial structures. In 2023, he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Gutu East under the ZANU-PF ticket.
Radio Presenting
Ganyiwa began his radio career in 2013 on Star FM, co-hosting the program Mugango alongside Napoleon “Napster” Nyanhi. Known by the nickname “Sekuru Ganyiwa,” he later co-hosted the same show with Ndumiso Dube. His engaging presence on the program earned him a dedicated following.
In September 2023, Ganyiwa bid farewell to his audience during an emotional broadcast of Mugango, which aired on Wednesday evenings. This marked the end of his radio career as he transitioned into full-time political service following his election to the National Assembly.
