This is the biography of Mike Madoda, a celebrated Zimbabwean sportscaster, event MC, marketer and sports administrator.
Early Life and Education
Mike Madoda was born on January 1, 1981. From a young age, Mike showed a keen interest in sports and media. He pursued his higher education at the University of Zimbabwe, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, Theology, and Theatre Arts in 2002.
Mike Madoda Professional Career
Mike’s career in broadcasting began in 2005 when he joined the national broadcaster ZBC. His talent for engaging commentary and his deep knowledge of sports quickly made him a recognisable face on television. He worked there from 2005 to 2017.
Mike’s expertise extended beyond presenting, as he took on the role of producer for some of Zimbabwe’s most popular TV shows, including CBZ A-Academy and CIMAS International Sport in the early 2000s. His ability to create compelling content made him a valuable asset in the media industry.
After establishing himself on television, Mike transitioned to radio in April 2017, where he became the producer-presenter of the popular radio sports magazine program, ZiFM Sport. His dynamic presence on the airwaves further cemented his status as a leading sportscaster in Zimbabwe.
In 2017, Mike’s career took a significant leap forward when he joined SuperSport. He provided the anchor role in their live coverage of the Castle Lager Premiership, replacing Ephraim Tagu. This role allowed him to reach a broader audience across the continent.
Alongside his broadcasting career, Mike co-founded Columbus Communications Group with his best friend and fellow sportscaster Barry Manandi. The duo also co-owns Golden Eagles FC, a ZIFA Northern Region Division 2 club.

Mike Madoda Personal Life
Mike is a devout Christian and serves as a pastor at Celebration Ministries International. He is married and a proud father of two sons. His love for sports extends to his personal life as well, being a staunch supporter of Liverpool FC and Highlanders Football Club.
