Mwendaz weDrip completed his primary education up to Standard 6 at Tsungayi Primary School in Highfield after transferring from Mbizi during the liberation struggle. He later enrolled at Musami High School in Mashonaland East but dropped out in 1956 due to financial constraints.

Early Work and Bus Driving
Mwendaz weDrip initially worked as a casual laborer at a clothing firm, where he was responsible for packing clothes. He later trained as a bus driver, earning his license in 1962. Over the years, he worked for various bus companies, including Matambanadzo Bus Services, where he became well known.
Mechanic Training
While working as a bus driver, Mwendaz weDrip pursued training in motor mechanics and became a certified journeyman in the field.

Death Rumors
On March 3, 2024, rumors of Mwendaz weDrip’s death circulated on social media after blogger King Solomon mistakenly announced his passing. The post was later deleted when it was confirmed that he was alive and well.
Mwendaz weDrip humorously dismissed the false reports in a video shared by Zimcelebs, saying:
“Ndichifa nei munhu mupenyu akadai? Nhasi ndi 3 March. Makore angu ekufa haasati akwana. Hunzai mari yechema.”
(Why would I die when I’m so alive? Today is March 3. My time to die hasn’t come yet. Bring the mourning money.)
He jokingly suggested that the money people intended for his funeral should be used to fund his birthday party instead.
