Novuyo Seagirl Dube Biography & Profile

Novuyo Seagirl Dube is a multi-talented Zimbabwean musician, dancer, and actress born at Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She is widely recognized for her vibrant presence in the music scene, marked by achievements such as winning the Singing Category and the Overall Winner title in the StarBrite competition in 2015.   She is a former member of Sandra Ndebele’s Intombizomqangala women ensemble and with them she has toured Germany, Austria and Russia. She started her own band with her sisters, Lwandle Nomvula and Qeqeshiwe, and together they have performed in various places around the country and participated in corporate events.

She toured countries like Germany, Austria, Russia, Mozambique, and South Africa, showcasing her talent in dancing.

Novuyo was part of the INTOMBIZOMQANGALA group managed by Sandra Ndebele from 2009 to 2011 and later joined Umoja cfc Ensemble (2012-2013), fostering cultural exchanges with countries like Mozambique, Norway, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Additionally, she is a member of the jazz, soul, and traditional music trio, One Band, and was signed by Professor Jonathan Moyo.

Novuyo received training in acting at the Bambata Actor’s Center and graduated from the Sabela Music Project Summer School in 2009. Her diverse taste in music spans acoustic soul, Afrocentric jazz, hip-hop, rap, country, and rock.
