Samanyanga Sounds is a registered record company based in Harare, Zimbabwe. It was founded by rapper and popular musician Holy Ten and Tendai M, with the aim of promoting and showcasing new talent in the local music scene. Holy Ten launched and established Samanyanga Sounds in September 2021 on his social media pages, generating excitement among his fans.
The record label has an official YouTube channel where they distribute content created by some of the most brilliant minds in Zimbabwe
The name “Samanyanga” is derived from a totem, specifically, the elephant totem, which comprises several classes (zvidawo) known affectionately as Mhukahuru, meaning the big animal.
Those associated with the elephant totem embody strength and robustness, as well as a potentially destructive force. Members of the elephant clan possess exceptional talents in arts, sports, and academics. A few notable examples include the Ndlovu brothers in football, namely Peter, Madinda, and Adam, as well as Oliver Mutukudzi, the late renowned musician and national hero.

He was signed to Holy Ten’s record label after responding to an Instagram story where Holy Ten invited upcoming artists to send their demos.
