Music Career
Chibhodhoro began his music career at the age of 19 in 1969, joining the Great Sounds at Rambanai in Mbare, which was then known as Harare Township. He later performed at the Federal Hotel, now known as Holly’s Hotel, with the Baked Beans.
In 1973, he moved on to perform at Vito Tavern and El Morroca, now known as Live Wire. In 1976, Chibhodhoro met Safirio Madzikatire and joined his Ocean City Band, leaving the Great Sounds. After leaving Madzikatire in 1983, he supported various groups on a contract basis, including Oliver Mtukudzi’s Black Spirits.
