Arthur Evans is a multi-talented Zimbabwean media personality known for his dynamic presence in the entertainment industry. He is an award-winning entrepreneur, voice-over artist, TV producer, MC and motivational speaker. As a versatile media personality, he has also made a name for himself as a newsreader on ZBC TV and as the host of his own show, “The Arthur C Evans Show,” which airs on DStv’s Zambezi Magic channel.
Early Life and Background
Born on May 17, 1984, Arthur Evans came into the world as the second child to Arthur and Clare Evans, following his elder sister Lucia Evans, who was born in October 1982.
Although he was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, he spent his formative years growing up in the vibrant city of Bulawayo. His parents’ separation in 1997 created a significant gap in communication with his father until 2007. In a testament to his lineage, Arthur’s great-grandfather was a Welshman who played a pioneering role in Zimbabwe during the Great Trek, establishing a legacy that remains woven into the fabric of the country.
Education
Arthur Evans pursued his high school education at Christian Brothers’ College (CBC), where he achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the fourth non-white Head Boy in 2002, a milestone in the school’s history since its inception in 1954. His thirst for knowledge led him to earn two diplomas—one in Project Management and another in Business Leadership.

A Journey of Versatile Careers
Arthur’s professional journey has been marked by diverse and accomplished roles. In 2004, he initially worked in his mother’s shop before embarking on a career with SPAR, where he joined as a trainee manager in 2005. Within the company’s HR Training division, he played a pivotal role in developing and delivering courses for the SPAR group, ranging from customer service to retail management.
The path of his career took an intriguing turn in 2007 when his father, having heard of his remarkable progress, invited him to join Technoexpert Construction, his construction company.
This offer came after a decade of estrangement following his parents’ separation. Arthur’s dynamic business acumen helped navigate the company through the challenging times brought about by the turbulent Zimbabwean economy. Guided by his father’s mentorship, he honed his skills as a businessman and became an integral part of the family business. He is currently the Financial Director at Technoexpert Construction.
A Dazzling Presence in the World of Fashion and Modelling
Arthur Evans has not only captivated audiences through his media appearances but has also graced the world of fashion and modelling. His striking presence and talent led him to become a finalist in Zimbabwe’s premier modelling show, “Supermodel,” in 2003. He has been featured in numerous Edgars magazines and has participated in various modelling and fashion shows, showcasing his versatile flair for the industry.
SABC 3 Top Billing Auditions
In 2015, Arthur Evans decided to audition for South Africa Broadcasting Corporation – SABC 3’s Top Billing show. His remarkable talent and magnetic personality earned him a spot in the Top 30 of the reality TV Show, Presenter Search. He competed alongside former Miss South Africa Ziphozakhe Zokufa and the late Simba Mhere, showcasing his potential to shine on a global platform.
Acting and Singing Career
Beyond his television and modelling ventures, Arthur Evans talents also encompass singing and acting. He was part of an acapella group and sang in choirs, showcasing his musical prowess. Moreover, he embraced the world of acting, taking on the lead role in the 2015 Pantomime held at Bulawayo Theatre, impressing audiences with his theatrical skills.
A Sporting Spirit
The multifaceted Arthur Evans also boasts a sporting spirit. In his younger years, he showcased his athleticism as the vice-captain of the Under-20 Zimbabwe Athletics team, specializing in Hurdles and serving as a reserve for the 400m race.
Charity Work
Apart from his numerous talents, Arthur Evans has a heart of gold, exemplified by his passion for charitable work. He dedicates his personal capacity to sponsor at least one child’s education each year and selflessly offers his services free of charge to host numerous charitable events and initiatives.
He has been actively involved with institutions such as the Bonsa Spar Fighting Back Cancer Fun Walk, as well as affiliations with Khayelihle Children’s Home and Emthunzini Wethemba Children’s Home.
Marriage
Arthur Evans is married to his beloved wife, Lornah M. Evans, and they have a beautiful daughter, Jessica E. Evans, who adds joy and love to their family.
