Dr Blessing Kasiyamhuru is a prominent figure in Zimbabwe’s political landscape, known for his endeavours as a politician, entrepreneur, and academic. He gained significant attention when he contested as a presidential candidate for his party, the Zimbabwe Partnership for Prosperity Party (ZIPP), during the 2018 elections. In 2023, he successfully filed as a Presidential candidate once again.
Wife and Children
Blessing Kasiyamhuru’s personal life has been the subject of public interest. He was previously married to Alexis, with whom he has a son named Malachi. Tragedy struck when Alexis passed away, leaving Blessing to care for their young child. Surprisingly, only three months after Alexis’s death, Blessing married Thelma, Alexis’s sister. This decision raised eyebrows and sparked controversy among some. At the time of their marriage, Thelma and Blessing had a four-month son, Mordechai.
According to Blessing, his marriage to Thelma was recommended by his late wife’s mother, with the primary concern being the welfare of Malachi. However, the situation took a darker turn when his mother-in-law accused Blessing Kasiyamhuru of conspiring with Thelma to murder his first wife. The allegations added a dramatic twist to Blessing’s personal life and created media speculation.

Continuing his thirst for knowledge and research, Blessing is currently pursuing a post-doctoral program in political science at the esteemed University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
