Edd Branson is a prominent Zimbabwean charismatic Christian leader, preacher, prophet, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. He is known for his contributions to the religious community and his philanthropic efforts.

Edd Branson’s real name is  Edwin Mutongwizo.

Age and Date of Birth

Ed Branson was born on the 18th of July 1988, in Harare, Zimbabwe which means that as of 2023, he is 35 years old.

Early Life and Background

Edd Branson grew up in Warren Park, Harare, where he received his early education. In 2017, Edd Branson founded Jesus Generation International Ministries, which has branches in Zimbabwe, the United Kingdom, South Africa, India, and Australia. Through his prophetic predictions, he gained popularity across the country.

Wedding

Edd Branson and Maria Halme got married in 2016 in a lavish ceremony held in South Africa. At the time, they seemed happy and excited about their union.

Reported Divorce between Prophet Edd Branson and Pastor Maria Halme

The couple was alleged to have split back in 2017 and were staying together for the sake of their son, Pastor Maria was reportedly back in Finland then. Finnish wife, Pastor Maria Halme,  reportedly decided to end their marriage after four years because of entanglement with a Zimbabwean dancer and fitness trainer. The other reason for their divorce is said to be related to cultural differences.

Relationship With Moana

In November 2020, Prophet Edd Branson confessed that he had been in a relationship with dancer, fitness trainer and late video vixen Michelle “Moana” Amuli.

Branson confirmed that he was indeed the person who appeared in a video with the late socialite. Prophet Edd Branson who normally does not speak about his private life, addressed the issue after a video of him and Moana went viral on social media.

The socialite, video vixen and fitness bunny died in a tragic accident after businessman Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure’s car was involved in a traffic accident.

In the video, Branson and the socialite appeared to be having a lover’s tiff, and at some point, Prophet Edd Branson cautioned Moana that other people could be watching them. Moana coquettishly responded that she didn’t care about that since the two of them were lovers.

Branson released a statement addressing the relationship between him and Moana. He insisted that the video had been taken ‘a long time ago’ and that the two of them had responded immaturely to the situation.

Prophet Edd Branson admitted that after the incident on the video, he stayed away from the church because he felt that he was dirty.

Philanthropy and Entrepreneurship

Branson established The Edd Branson Foundation, which has received several recognitions and awards for its charitable work. In 2019, he was appointed by the Global Diplomatic Council as the Director Commissioner of African Culture Diversity and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, he received an honorary doctorate for Philanthropy and Humanitarian Leadership from The Global Academy Of Social Sciences of India.

World Habitat Ambassador Forum

In 2019, Edd Branson was honored in Nigeria and appointed as an Ambassador for the World Habitat Ambassador Forum. World Habitat Ambassador Forum collaborates with the United Nations to provide sustainable housing for marginalized individuals worldwide. This prestigious accolade placed Branson in the hall of fame, making him the 15th person in the world to receive this title.

Foundation

Branson also established The Edd Branson Foundation, which has received several recognitions and awards for its charitable work and focuses on assisting young entrepreneurs. The foundation provides support and resources to help these individuals succeed in their ventures.
