Cassper Nyovest is a South African rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur, and record producer. Born Refiloe Maele Phoolo in 1990, he is one of the biggest names in the South African hip-hop scene and is considered one of the genre pioneers in the country.
In 2014, Cassper Nyovest started his own Family Tree Records record label. He became famous after he released his first album called Tsholofelo. It included popular songs like “Gusheshe” and “Doc Shebeleza”.
Nyovest had a successful concert in 2015 at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, which sold out all the tickets.
This led Nyovest to start holding annual concerts in different stadiums around the country, including Orlando Stadium (2016) and FNB Stadium (2017) in Johannesburg, Moses Mabhida Stadium (2018) in Durban, and Royal Bafokeng Stadium (2019) in North West. He named these concerts “Fill Up” after his first successful one.

Cassper Nyovest was born on December 16, 1990. He will be turning 33 in December this year. Cassper holds a show every year in his hometown, same month as his birthday. The show is dubbed ‘Fresh Prince Of Maftown’, and in 2018 he hosted one big birthday party that trended.
“Maftown… I’m coming home to celebrate my birthday, but we’ve got a lot to celebrate!!! 10 Million sales!!! The history we made at FNB Stadium!!!” he wrote on Twitter.

Cassper Nyovest has dated two famous women in his life. He first met Boity Thulo in their teens and started dating in their early twenties. However, they split in 2015.
He was also romantically involved with Amanda du-Pont, and they shared a kiss on stage at the 2014 Channel O Awards.
The rapper and Amanda du Pont, who were rumoured to be romantically involved, had a fallout that became public when the rapper changed the lyrics of his song “Phumakim” to say that even Amanda du Pont was not good enough for him. The original lyrics said the rapper only wanted to be with someone as famous as him.
He wrote:
“She ain’t no Amanda Du Pont, she ain’t tailored for me, ’cause I only f**k with women that’s as famous as me.”
In 2018, Cassper Nyovest and Thobeka Majozi started dating. They kept it a secret but have given clues on social media. They were once seen on a “baecation” but did not post any pictures together, though it was clear they were together.
