He holds an MSC (RUP) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management, along with various certifications in anti-money laundering.

Career
Murapa has a diverse professional background, having worked as a businessman, civil servant, program manager, and consultant. With over 30 years of experience, he has held leadership roles in a regional development banking organization, government departments, and reputable corporations, where he specialized in designing development projects.
His expertise lies in public sector strategy, enabling him to effectively collaborate with government entities at all levels. Murapa possesses a deep understanding of government operations and its interactions with non-state actors.
Throughout his career, Murapa has held significant positions, including Director of State Enterprises Anti-Corruption and Anti-Monopolies in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Senior Manager Public Sector at Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Technical Advisor at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) in Midrand, South Africa.
Murapa is also an accomplished academic with a notable research record. He has lectured at three universities: the University of Zimbabwe, the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom, and the Institutes of Social Studies in The Hague and Housing in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Additionally, he has delivered lectures for the Institute of Public Administration and Management in Nairobi, Kenya. His areas of expertise include Public Sector Governance, Results-Based Management, budgeting, and Monitoring and Evaluation.
On July 15, 2019, Murapa and six others were appointed as commissioners of the Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (ZACC). The appointments followed a series of public interviews conducted by Parliament’s Standing Rules and Orders Committee, chaired by Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda. The committee submitted a list of 12 names, from which the President selected the constitutionally mandated eight commissioners.
