Bridget Panashe Marufu, also known as Mabrijo, is a popular Zimbabwean content creator, comedian, dancer, and self-proclaimed “celebrity”. She gained popularity through her social media presence, where she shares comedic skits and dances. Mabrijo is currently the brand ambassador for Candy Cake’s products and SUS (Saka Uchaita Sei) clothing.

Family Background:
Mabrijo had a tough childhood and grew up in poverty. She was raised by her maternal grandmother because her mother got married when she was born and left her in her grandmother’s care at just 8 months old. In an interview, Mabrijo revealed that she is estranged from her mother and that they do not have a close relationship. She accused her mother of neglecting her during her childhood and rarely visiting her in the rural areas where she was raised. She also revealed that her father is later, although she did not state when he had died.

Mabrijo revealed that she is a single mother and got pregnant at 17 years old. She claimed that the father of her child was an illegal gold panner who lied to her about not being married. However, she did not disclose his identity.
Homelessness:
After getting pregnant, Mabrijo experienced rejection from her relatives and slept on the streets of Mutare at one point because she had nowhere to go. She eventually got taken in by one of her aunts.

When her child was one year old, Mabrijo left her in the care of her grandmother in the rural areas to look for odd jobs. She started working as a maid and later in a bar.
Moving To South Africa:
Mabrijo fell in love with a builder during this time, and when he gave her money to prepare for their lobola ceremony, she used it to move to South Africa. She apologised to the unnamed builder for using him and ditching him.
Working In South Africa:
In South Africa, Mabrijo initially worked as a maid for some Indians, and she described the experience as horrible due to ill-treatment from her employers. She also mentioned that her boss started to act up when she received an expensive phone from her “Internet” husband, DJ Towers.
Social Media Career:
Mabrijo started her career as a content creator on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok while in South Africa. She gained popularity through her comedic skits and dances. During this time, she got involved with DJ Towers. She credited him for her fame and hopes to continue growing her brand through social media.
Her life took a turn for the better when she met Prophet Passion Java, who gifted her R20 000. This money gave her the freedom to leave her job as a maid so that she could focus on being a content creator. She also started doing digital marketing for brands.

Personal Life:
Mabrijo is a single mother who was previously in a relationship with Zimbabwean socialite and musician DJ Towers. She confirmed that she broke up with him because he was broke and had nothing to offer her. In an interview with Dj Ollah 7 on Star FM’s After Drive Season 2, Mabrijo revealed that she was previously engaged in a romantic relationship with Holy Ten, a Zimbabwean rapper. Additionally, she posted a raunchy video in which she expressed her love for wealthy businessman Phillip Chiyangwa. Mabrijo appealed for Chiyangwa to call her as she had a massive crush on him. During an interview, she revealed that Phillip Chiyangwa later called her and counselled her.
Future Goals:
Mabrijo aspires to be an international star in the entertainment industry. She credits her fame to DJ Towers and hopes to continue growing her brand through social media. Mabrijo also said that she hopes to get married when she gets to around 26 years.
Skin Bleaching:
Mabrijo revealed that she started bleaching her skin to be more attractive to wealthy men. She stated that before she started bleaching her skin, the only wealthy men she attracted were Nigerians. However, after realizing that wealthy men were attracted to light-skinned women, she began bleaching her skin. Mabrijo mentioned that she noticed an improvement in her fortunes after she started bleaching. According to her, she is now attracting wealthy men from all nationalities.
