Probeatz, born Denzel Takudzwa Mashonganyika, was born in Harare in 1995. He grew up in the high-density suburb of Mufakose. Probeatz grew up in a neighbourhood frequently affected by power cuts. This environment influenced his interest in beatboxing as he sought ways to entertain himself without electricity.
Probeatz Music Career
Probeatz’s beatboxing career began out of necessity due to frequent power outages in his area of Mufakose. He became a “human radio” as a way of entertaining himself and the people around him in the dark in 2010.
He developed his skills and gained recognition by winning the STARBRITE 2012 Special Talent Award and the DreamStar 2014 competition. His performances at events like the Shoko Festival and the Black Opal Face of Zimbabwe (BOFOZ) have been highly praised.
In addition to beatboxing, Probeatz has also pursued a career in rapping. His versatile talents include acting, dancing, and beatboxing, making him a well-rounded performer.
