Rachel J embarked on her music career in 2016 with her debut album, “Triumph,” a gospel dedication to her grandmother. Not limiting herself to a single genre, she released various singles and albums, including “Makwikwi Reloaded,” “Njiva,” “Bada Boom,” “Ngoro,” “Hallelujah,” “Strong Black Man,” and “Fambai Mberi.”
Beyond music, Rachel J’s entrepreneurial flair led her to establish an interior design company, catering to prominent personalities in Zimbabwe. Her business interests span mining, transport, logistics, fruit and vegetables, fuel, luxury buses, and farming under Jarach Investments.
Controversies
Rachel J faced controversies, notably in 2019 and 2020. Allegations surfaced regarding her lifestyle and relationship with former Finance deputy minister Terence Mukupe. Reports emerged suggesting her involvement with South African-based cleric Shepherd Bushiri.
Mukupe accused Rachel J of infidelity and Bushiri of impregnating her. Rachel J’s family vehemently denied the allegations, citing false claims and defending her character. The public dispute unfolded with accusations and counter-accusations between the involved parties.
Achievements
Rachel J earned recognition for her musical talent, receiving the Most Outstanding Beautiful Woman in Zimbabwe award at the Zimbabwe Models Awards in 2018.
