Mugwadi later worked for Zimpapers, initially managing their social media unit before being moved to a department called the Knowledge Centre. Following the reshuffling of journalists associated with Deputy Chief Secretary to the President, George Charamba, Mugwadi publicly criticized Acting Editor Tichaona Zindoga for his decisions regarding the reassignment of reporters, labeling him a “school deserter.”
