In March 2022, he signed a one-year contract with Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League club CAPS United, following his departure from Zambian side Nkana in July 2021. Prior to joining CAPS United, Dzingai had pursued trials in Jordan.

Before his stint with CAPS United, Dzingai joined Zambian Super League side Nkana FC in October 2020, signing a two-year contract. He had previously played for Yadah and Power Dynamos, both also in the Zambian league.

In November 2022, Dzingai joined Muktijoddha SKC, a club in the Bangladesh Premier League, on a one-year contract with an option to extend. He moved to the club as a free agent following his departure from CAPS United Football Club.

Although his move to Muktijoddha SKC received criticism from some Zimbabwean football followers, who expressed their opinions on various social media platforms, Dzingai made the decision to pursue his career in a new environment.

International Career

Dzingai has represented the Zimbabwe senior national team, known as the Warriors, on 11 occasions. He was part of the Warriors squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Egypt.

In March 2024, Jimmy Dzingai released a catchy rhumba song dedicated to Wicknell Chivayo, a prominent Zimbabwean businessman. The song expressed Dzingai’s request for a vehicle, inspired by Chivayo’s viral acts of gifting cars and cash to individuals from various backgrounds in Zimbabwe.
