Trevor Dongo, born on September 27, 1986, is the firstborn in a family of six and the only boy among his siblings. Dongo’s foray into music started as a hobby during his school days, but it wasn’t long before he realised that his passion could turn into a full-time career. While balancing his studies at college, he began recording demos, which marked the beginning of his journey in the music industry.

In 2004, during the Urban Grooves era, Dongo emerged as a popular Zimbabwean R&B musician. His debut album ‘Ndozviita Sei’ became an instant success, particularly the title track, which resonated with many and quickly became a hit. Over the years, Dongo has released several albums, including ‘Ruvarashe’ and ‘First Verse’, featuring hit tracks like ‘Musikana wangu’ and ‘Ndashamisika’. His collaboration with Nox and Tawanda Mugodi in the group AfroUnik produced the album ‘Uniqueness’, which included the gospel track ‘Musipo’ that received heavy radio rotation.
In 2012, Ndashamisika was the song of the year on the youth-centric Power FM radio station.
Dongo’s international presence was solidified with tours across the United Kingdom, Canada. His stage presence and vocal prowess have made him a beloved figure in the music scene, both locally and abroad.

In 2024, his fiance Natasha got pregnant by him and eloped in a scandal that rocked the media.
