Musical Career
She grew up in a Christian family and developed her passion for singing while attending church services. She attended local schools for her education and later pursued a degree in Fashion and Design.
How She Joined Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora’s Mhodzi Tribe Band
Feli Nandi’s career as a singer began unexpectedly when she attended a wedding ceremony in 2017, where Mbeu was performing. Mbeu invited her on stage to sing along with him, and that marked the beginning of her journey as a singer. She joined Mhodzi Tribe after passing the “quickest” singing auditions, becoming a backing vocalist for the band.
Feli Nandi later released several singles, including “Ndega Ndada,” which has an accompanying video. She also released other singles like “Woman,” dedicated to her mother, “Mbeu cover of Hazvinei,” and “Ndibateiwo,” among others. She has recorded these singles with the help of Mbeu and his team.
Fall Out With Mbeu And Solo Career
Feli Nandi’s music career took off when she joined Mbeu’s band as a backing vocalist. Her unique fashion sense, which often included dreadlocks and African print designs, quickly became a signature of her brand.
She performed with Mhodzi Tribe for two and a half years before announcing her departure from the group in May 2023.
In a statement released on social media, Feli Nandi announced that she had been expelled from the group. She wrote,
“It is with great sadness that I announce my separation from Mbeu and the Mhodzi Tribe. Due to Management’s decision, l have been expelled from the group. I regard this decision with the utmost gratitude.
“It is never easy to say goodbye but on the same note I am eternally grateful for all the lessons I learnt, the nurturing, the guidance and the grooming I received from The Tribe in terms of music and so much more. I am the artist I am today because of all the great times we shared.

“Thank you all for the opportunity to learn and grow over the last two and half years.”
However, since embarking on a solo career, Feli Nandi has established herself as a force to reckon with.
Fashion Design Career
Feli Nandi is also a fashion designer, and she has established herself as a brand that is hard to ignore.
She launched Feli Nandi Apparels and established a small showroom for the brand at the Old Shell House located along Nelson Mandela Avenue in Harare’s CBD.
Feli Nandi Apparels took the fashion world by storm after introducing of a wide range of Ankara winter styles in 2021.

Personal Life
Feli Nandi is married and has two boys.
Although she had always dreamed of a music career, she put her dreams on hold after getting married and having a child at the age of 21.
However, she resumed singing at the age of 25 after an encounter with Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora at a Norton wedding.
Some of Feli Nandi’s relatives did not understand her passion for music, but she draws inspiration from successful female musicians like Selmor Mtukudzi, Mai (Olivia) Charamba, and Janet Manyowa, who have their partners’ support.
