Madzikanda has accused Chivayo of infidelity and mistreatment. In a series of videos, she narrated how she encountered one of Chivayo’s alleged mistresses hours before the 2018 edition of the Miss World Zimbabwe pageant. She accused Chivayo’s sisters of advising her to forgive Chivayo, but she was against the idea. She also accused them of sending her voice notes telling her to be a better person.
In response, Chivayo’s sister, Moe Chivayo, confirmed that she was against the marriage from the beginning and accused Madzikanda of making up stories that Chivayo was cheating. In a series of Instagram posts, Moe described Madzikanda as a ‘gold digger’ who suffered from schizophrenia; hence her claims that black magic was used on her son.
Black Magic Allegations
In March 2021, Wicknell Chivayo’s sister Moe Chivayo alleged that John suffers from autism and could not talk despite being three years old. In response, Sonja Madzikanda accused Chivayo’s family of using black magic on her son. However, Moe Chivayo denied the allegations and urged her sister-in-law to seek medical help for her son.
Madzikanda also revealed why she had a paternity test done on her son with Chivayo when he was born. In response to a question from an Instagram follower, she explained that her son was born in the United States, and Chivayo could only stay for two weeks because of business. As a result, it was all left up to her to file paperwork for John’s passport and NI number. Sonja explained that because the name on the birth certificate was John Chivayo and her legal name was still Sonja Madzikanda, a paternity test was required to prove that Wicknell was indeed the father of John.
